Former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn was the victim of the FBI. He did nothing wrong. He had some phone calls with then-Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, which is not uncommon during the transition period from one administration to another. Yet, the FBI decided to ensnare the Trump aide in a perjury trap. Since October of 2019, Flynn’s lawyer, Sidney Powell, has alleged an FBI plot to entrap his client. Katie wrote today that even when agents told their superiors at the FBI that Flynn did not collude with the Russians, the top brass still went along with their plan to entrap Flynn and scalp a top Trump official:
New documents obtained by CBS News reporter Catherine Herridge show the FBI investigated General Michael Flynn based on the Bureau's Crossfire Hurricane probe into the 2016 Trump campaign. Members of the Crossfire Hurricane team referred Flynn for investigation, which turned into Crossfire Razor. Crossfire Razor did not find "derogatory information" about any of Flynn's alleged actions.
"The FBI opened captioned case based on an articulable factual basis that CROSSFIRE RAZOR [CR] [Flynn] may wittingly or unwittingly be involved in activity on behalf of the Russian Federation which may constitute a federal crime or threat to the national security. The FBI predicated the investigation on predetermined criteria set forth by the CROSSFIRE HURRICANE [CH] investigative team based on an assessment of reliable lead information received during the course of the investigation. Specifically, CR was cited as an adviser to then Republican presidential candidate Donald J. Trump for foreign policy entities of the Russia federation," the document, dated January 4, 2017, states.
"The goal of the [Flynn] investigation was to determine whether the captioned subject, associated with the Trump campaign, was directed and controlled by and/or coordinated activities with the Russian Federation in a manner which is a threat to the national security and/or possibly a violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act," the document continues. "The CH investigative team checked name through available FBI databases for any derogatory information with negative results. A formal [REDACTED] was submitted to [REDACTED] for any derogatory information. [REDACTED] reported no derogatory information in its holdings."

Obama’s DOJ went off the reservation. It was still loaded with holdovers after Trump’s inauguration. There are still too many Obama officials operating in D.C. right now.
Powell added that more documents are slated to be released and this whole fiasco gets worse. I bet it does. This is rather big news. It ties in with the whole Trump-Russia collusion circus that engulfed the news media for two years. It was all a myth. And yet, a story about the FBI running amok doesn’t get the light of day. ABC, CNN, and CBS had nothing on their morning programming about the Flynn bombshell. MSNBC mentioned it once around 5:15 am. NBC mentioned it once at 3:41 am. The liberal media got a brick to the face over the Russian collusion delusion. Now, with Flynn, they’re about to get another beating, which is richly deserved. I guess that’s why the networks have either ignored the story or decided to break this news when most of the country is asleep.
