There is a price to be paid for refusing to air President Trump’s daily Wuhan coronavirus pressers. CNN is discovered that today, with Vice President Mike Pence barring members of the task force from being interviewed by the anti-Trump network. If CNN wants to interview key players, they can simply resume broadcasting the press briefings. It’s that simple. Jim Acosta is not an expert. Stephen King is not an expert. It’s truly ridiculous that after all the liberal media’s whining about a lack of press briefings, they finally get them and now won’t air them. It’s because the briefings have boosted Trump’s approval numbers. This is an anti-Trump network working to remove Trump from office. They can play their games, and so can this White House. And like every time since 2016, CNN will lose. Joe Concha at The Hill has more:

Vice President Mike Pence's office has barred members of the coronavirus task force from appearing on CNN for the past week, according to a CNN report.

The contention appears to stem from CNN not carrying portions of the daily White House coronavirus task force briefings, including some question and answer sessions with top medical members including Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Deborah Birx.

"When you guys cover the briefings with the health officials then you can expect them back on your air," a Pence spokesperson told CNN.

The back-and-forth is another chapter in the ongoing feud between the administration and CNN.

The decision appears to have begun following a report by CNN's Jim Acosta on Apr. 3, when the chief White House correspondent reported Fauci had been excluded from appearing at the task force's daily briefing that day.

Fauci told PBS's Yamiche Alcindor the report was "absolutely not true" and reiterated his denial to CNN.

Yeah, peddling fake news can get you a brutal reception, as CNN and others know full well with this administration. They fight back. So, CNN, the decision is yours and after Anderson Cooper’s complete screw up regarding personal protection equipment that was mentioned in the pressers you refuse to air, you can avoid embarrassing yourselves by *that* much every day, I guess. But not that much.
