Did Rep. Ted Lieu Just Accuse Our Ambassador To Israel Of Exhibiting Dual Loyalty?; UPDATE: Tweet Deleted

AP Photo/Chris Carlson

Okay, so it appears Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) isn’t the only one peddling anti-Semitism. Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) has joined this little crew, accusing the U.S. Ambassador to Israel of exhibiting…dual loyalty. This comes after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu barred Reps. Omar and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) from entering the country over their support for the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement, which is viciously anti-Israel. The movement calls for the destruction of the Jewish state. Period. Omar said BDS was like the Boston Tea Party. Tlaib said the BDS movement against Israel is not different than a boycott of the Nazi Party. Oh, and Omar also peddled the dual loyalty trope as well, which caused a lot of heartburn for House Democrats. She has not apologized for spreading this anti-Semitic smear and I don’t expect Lieu will either (via Free Beacon):

Rep. Ted Lieu (D., Calif.) accused United States Ambassador to Israel David Friedman of having a foreign allegiance in a tweet Thursday and shortly repeated the claim on CNN.

"His allegiance, again, is to America, not to a foreign power," Lieu said in an interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer.

In his tweet, Lieu suggested Friedman, who is an Orthodox Jew, was expressing loyalty to Israel in his support of their decision to deny entry to Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D., Mich.) and Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.).

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu explained that his government denied the congresswoman's request to enter Israel because their "sole objective" was to deny the country's legitimacy.

"Only a few days ago, we received their itinerary for their visit in Israel, which revealed that they planned a visit whose sole objective is to strengthen the boycott against us and deny Israel’s legitimacy," Netanyahu explained, later adding that "the itinerary of the two Congresswomen reveals that the sole purpose of their visit is to harm Israel and increase incitement against it."

Omar and Tlaib were supposed to arrive in Jerusalem this weekend, before traveling to the West Bank.

Well, said itinerary for this trip didn’t even recognize Israel; it has “Palestine” on it, which is a country that doesn’t exist. Tlaib also hosted an event for a rabid anti-Israel activist who endorsed terrorism. Omar reportedly has been accused of holding fundraisers for groups with ties to terrorism. These two women and their two other “Squad” colleagues are bad news. They have dabbled in anti-Semitism. And they appear to be terrorist-sympathizers. Israel’s response was simple and rational: you’re not welcome.  As for Lieu, well, he’s just his insufferable self, totally driven mad by Trump Derangement Syndrome.
