Ilhan Omar Swipes Pelosi: You're Just Salty Because We Are The Ones Wielding The Power

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi knows she needs to get a tighter grip on the troublemakers in her caucus. That’s the crew who’s peddled anti-Semitic tropes, said our border detention facilities were like Nazi concentration camps, and all-around just create an unneeded controversy for the Democratic Party. We’re talking about Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). These ladies form a three-headed monster in politics right now. For all you Godzilla fans, think King Ghidorah. Oh, and then there’s the fourth musketeer Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA).

Since January of 2019, these women have caused the Democratic leadership some form of heartburn. Once again, Pelosi dismissed this far left sorority and their position on the Hill, which prompted AOC to respond and led to Omar joining in on the fun in solidarity (via Fox News):

Pelosi was referring to Omar, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., and Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass.

The four freshmen voted against the border bill they essentially said did not go far enough and, according to the Washington Post, was simply “throwing more money” at the Trump administration’s "human rights abuses."

Ocasio-Cortez took to Twitter to explain to Pelosi, 79, that “public ‘whatever’ is called public sentiment.”

“And wielding the power to shift it is how we actually achieve meaningful change in this country,” she continued.

Omar wrote in response to Ocasio-Cortez, “Patetico! You know they’re just salty about WHO is wielding the power to shift “public sentiment” these days, sis. Sorry not sorry.”

From anti-Semitic talking points to openly saying they would target incumbent Democrats if need be to make the party more left wing, they have a lot of clout for a group that Pelosi dismisses as a caucus that’s heavily over-represented due to their social media presence. And yet, most of the 2020 Democratic field has signed on to the insanity that is the Green New Deal or tailoring their climate agendas to this blueprint.

When Ilhan Omar said that those who support Israel might be exhibiting dual loyalty—an age-old anti-Semitic smear—House Democrats were unable to pass a non-binding resolution condemning such bigotry since many Democrats thought it singled out Omar. Pelosi couldn’t get the situation under control and a much, much watered down resolution was passed.

The recent blowup was the result of the House passing a $4.6 billion border package. It was the bill passed on an overwhelming bipartisan vote in the Senate. It was the only bill that would get President Trump’s signature. And yes, it didn’t have any of the trash provisions that hamstrung immigration enforcement agencies from doing their jobs like in the House bill, which AOC also voted against. She’s now saying her swipe at Pelosi was not meant as an insult (via The Hill):

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) on Monday disputed allegations from some critics that she and other progressive freshmen insulted Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) amid the fallout from House passage of a border aid bill backed by President Trump.

"Having respect for ourselves doesn’t mean we lack respect for her. It means we won’t let everyday people be dismissed," Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.

Yeah, we should expect more of these antics from these ladies in the future. Pelosi is the old guard. These four horsewomen of the left wing apocalypse are ascending. Two things cannot occupy the same space.
