Let's Face It: The Mueller Report Was Pretty Much Just A Taxpayer-Funded Opposition Research Project

The Robert Mueller investigation is over. The special counsel has submitted his report. Attorney General William Barr released the report. Yes, it's been redacted because there’s grand jury testimony in there. It was not out of the ordinary. There was no cover-up. The Democrats just lost. The liberal media lost. It’s a great day. No collusion. No obstruction. In fact, the report was quite clear that there was zero evidence to suggest that the Kremlin and the Trump campaign colluded during the 2016 election. There was no conspiracy either. On the obstruction charges, they looked into ten incidents and couldn’t come to a conclusion. There’s insufficient evidence.

It may seem like ages ago, but Hillary Clinton’s funding of the Steele Dossier is what really fanned the flames of this whole mess. Yes, Democrats and the Clinton campaign funded ex-MI6 spook Christopher Steele’s opposition research project that was allegedly used to obtain a FISA spy warrant against Carter Page, who was Trump’s former foreign policy adviser. It most certainly was not vetted. Yet, that’s whole other scandal entirely.

This is all part of the same operation: get Trump. With the Mueller investigation, it was a $50 million opposition research project that the Left hoped would prove collusion. Hoped would provide Democrats with the ammunition they needed to provide the groundwork for impeachment. And hope that it would remove Trump from office for the mere sin of beating Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election. So, former FBI director, Mueller, takes over the bureau’s original counterintelligence probe once James Comey was fired and staffed it, partisan Democrats. After 2,800 subpoenas, 500 witness interviews, and 500 search warrants executed, nothing of that nature materialized.

After two years, the Democrats, the Left, and the media waste their time trying to get the president on allegations that half the nation knew was bogus. It is a great day. Democrats get to eat it again on the collusion nonsense. They’re frothing at the mouth over the shoddy obstruction claims. On the latter, let them; the longer they look like overreaching, unhinged idiots the better for us. For nearly two years, and Lord knows how many attempts, the Left tried to undercut this presidency and deliver a deathblow. They failed. They lost. We won.

Oh, and as for those infamous tapes in the Steele dossier that involved Trump and Russian prostitutes, well, those are probably fake. And by probably, I mean, most certainly fake. Again, those of us who aren’t a brain cell away from being declared intellectually disabled knew this already (via Daily Caller) [WARNING: Some graphic content]:

A Russian businessman with knowledge of the infamous “pee tapes” was told the tapes were fake, but chose not to tell Michael Cohen, the Mueller Report revealed Thursday.

Giorgi Rtskhiladze texted former personal attorney to the president Michael Cohen on October 30, 2016, saying, “Stopped flow of tapes from Russia but not sure if there’s anything else. Just so you know…” according to the report released Thursday morning after Attorney General William Barr’s press conference.

[…]

The tapes in question referred to supposedly compromising tapes of President Donald Trump rumored to be in the possession of Crocus Group, a Russian real estate firm which had helped host the 2013 Miss Universe Pageant when it took place in Russia. Russian operatives allegedly filmed Trump engaging in “golden showers” with Russian prostitutes when Trump stayed in the Ritz Carlton in Moscow. Trump denied the allegations. Rumors of the tapes emerged in a June 20, 2016, dossier funded by Democrats and written by former British spy Christopher Steele.

Cohen reportedly brought the tapes to Trump’s attention after receiving Rtskhiladze’s texts. Trump reportedly did not want First Lady Melania to believe the stories and later asked Comey to investigate the matter.

Look, there will be time for revenge. For now, celebrate another day owning the liberals.
