HA! Greenpeace Co-Founder Took Ocasio-Cortez's Green New Deal Behind The Shed And Hacked It To Death

Okay—it’s not just conservatives, Republicans, and President Donald Trump who thinks the Green New Deal is straight trash. Patrick Moore, the co-founder of Greenpeace, has decided to chime in and it wasn’t in support of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) agenda to destroy the economy of the United States. In fact, the now-sensible environmentalist torched the entire plan, calling it insane, saying it would bring about mass death, and the mass deforestation in order for humanity to sustain itself. He called AOC a “pompous little twit,” while also saying that her remarks about fighting climate change as being akin to World War II was historical illiteracy at its finest. Greenpeace, of course, says Moore doesn’t represent the organization. Moore left years ago, but it shows that it’s not just red meat conservatives who know this Green New Deal is a recipe for a socialist nightmare, with a guaranteed end result of turning the U.S. into a total hellhole (via Fox News):

Patrick Moore, the co-founder of the environmentalist group Greenpeace, ripped into New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez over the weekend as a “pompous little twit,” saying the Green New Deal plan she’s advocating is “completely crazy.”

In a series of tweets, Moore argued Ocasio-Cortez, who has called for drastically reducing fossil fuel production, doesn’t realize what would happen across the world if the radical plan were implemented.

“If fossil fuels were banned every tree in the world would be cut down for fuel for cooking and heating," Moore said in a tweet Saturday directed at Ocasio-Cortez. “You would bring about mass death.”

Referring to the New York Democrat as a “pompous little twit,” Moore said, “You don’t have a plan to grow food for 8 billion people without fossil fuels, or get food into the cities.”

Moore also unloaded on her for calling climate change “our World War II.”

“It's her @GND that would be worse than WW2,” he said. “Imagine no fuel for cars, trucks, tractors, combines, harvesters, power-plants, ships, aircraft, etc. Transport of people & goods would grind to a halt.”

Meanwhile, Travis Nichols, a spokesman for Greenpeace USA, strongly pushed back against Moore’s comments on Monday, saying he doesn’t represent Greenpeace. He disputed that Moore is a co-founder, though Greenpeace admits Moore "played a significant role" in its early years.

Yeah, under the Green New Deal, the combustible engine would be banned. No more air travel to visit loved ones. Fossil fuels are to be phased out in a decade. All buildings are to be upgraded to efficiency standards and farting cows have to die. It also provides economic assistance to those too lazy to work. It’s a left-wing goodie bag. In other words, it’s meth. Don’t touch it! And even self-described sensible environmentalists, like Moore, have taken the Green New Deal behind the shed and shot it because it’s just an abomination.
