UPDATE: Kanye told TMZ that he's getting out of politics altogether and that his feelings of being used stemmed directly from "Blexit."

Well, it seems Kanye West’s love affair with President Trump has come to an end. The hip-hop artist who had grown close to the president over the past few months, much to the ire of his fan base, fellow artists, and liberals, finally broke with Trump in a series of tweets today. He claimed that he had been used for others’ political agendas and that he was done. West says his energies will be focused on being creative.
“My eyes are now wide open and now realize I’ve been used to spread messages I don’t believe in,” said West on Twitter. “I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative.”
He left by thanking his friends and family for supporting his “actual beliefs.” He also voiced support for prison reform and gun control.

I introduced Candace to the person who made the logo and they didn’t want their name on it so she used mine. I never wanted any association with Blexit. I have nothing to do with it.

I would like to thank my family, loved ones, and community for supporting my ACTUAL beliefs and my vision for a better world.

I support creating jobs and opportunities for people who need them the most, I support prison reform, I support common-sense gun laws that will make our world safer.

West had raised eyebrows with his affection for Trump, claiming he would not be bullied by the Left back in August. He finally met with Trump in the Oval Office, which caused a stage-10 meltdown on liberal media. CNN’s Don Lemon was appalled; MSNBC called the meeting an assault on our White House.

Just recently, West announced he was launching a clothing brand—Blexit—that was aimed at urging black voters to leave the Democratic Party (via USA Today):
Kanye West is combining his loves of fashion and politics.
The controversial rapper, 41, designed a line of shirts and hats for the "Blexit" campaign, which urges black voters to leave the Democratic Party. "Blexit" is short for "Black Exit," mimicking the slogan for Britain's departure from the European Union.
The merchandise, which proudly touts "Design by Kanye West," debuted at the Turning Point USA’s Young Black Leadership Summit in Washington Saturday.
Well, it looks like that’s going to end. Maybe some things are too good to be true. West was pilloried by the liberal news media, with many denigrating him by bringing up his mental health issues. On Lemon’s show, in one of the most racist segments seen in a while, the panel noted that West was a “token Negro,” and his antics show the consequences of what happens when “Negros don’t read.”
How can any honest person not call this CNN segment racist?
