'Communism Will Win' West Point Graduate on Secretary of Defense Mattis: He's an 'Evil, Vile F**k'

If there is one West Point graduate who is getting his 15 minutes of fame, it’s Second Lt. Spenser Rapone. Rapone doesn’t hide his communist leanings, writing, “Communism will win” inside his officer’s cap. It was included in a tweet in support of Colin Kaepernick, who took a knee during the national anthem last year, which has spread all over the country at various sporting events. President Trump slammed the NFL players who also did this, igniting a culture battle over the flag and the Star-Spangled Banner; 72 percent of Americans think Kaepernick’s’ actions are unpatriotic. Rapone even showed that he was proudly wearing a Che Guevara t-shirt under his uniform. He graduated from the academy in 2016.

West Point had to issue a statement that Rapone’s chain of command—he’s with the 10th Mountain Division right now—are aware, they’re looking into the matter, and this in no way reflects the values of the academy or that of the U.S. Military. A spokesperson for his division was blunt: we support free speech, but you put politics aside when in uniform.

Now, Daily Caller is reporting that Rapone even went after Secretary of Defense James Mattis, calling him a “vile, evil f**k.” This was back in June. For a bit yesterday, Rapone’s Twitter account, punkproletarian, was protected. That’s no longer the case [Warning: Strong language]:

In a tweet dated June 8, 2017, Rapone tweeted at a podcaster, stating: “Was so pumped for you to go in on Mattis on the latest ep. Definitely the most vile, evil fuck in the current administration.”

Not only that, but Rapone also attacked Vice President Mike Pence in a tweet from August: “Holy s*** what world do these people live in? “Mediocre and conservative?” Pence is a fucking medieval, cold-blooded killer.”

Such statements run the risk of violating Article 88 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. According to Article 88, “Any commissioned officer who uses contemptuous words against the President, the Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of a military department, the Secretary of Transportation, or the Governor or legislature of any State, Territory, Commonwealth, or possession in which he is on duty or present shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.”

The maximum punishment under Article 88 is dismissal from the military, forfeiture of all pay and allowances and prison for a year.
