Guess Who's Not Coming to Dinner?

http://larussophobe.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/sarah-palin-thumb.jpgRemember yesterday how the big news was that, despite her failure to appear at CPAC, Sarah Palin would be headlining the big annual fundraiser for GOP congressional re-election efforts??

Well, according to today's Anchorage Daily News,

"Gov. Sarah Palin's spokesman said Monday that congressional Republicans were mistaken in announcing the governor would headline one of the biggest Republican gatherings of the year, the Senate-House dinner in Washington, D.C. The governor's office said Palin has not even confirmed she would be attending the event. "I communicated with the governor directly and she did not know anything about it," said Bill McAllister, the governor's spokesman."

... Turns out there was some confusion between Palin's Alaska staff and the DC-based SarahPac.

Either way, this does little to reassure those who have concerns over Palin's leadership and organizational competency.

Under normal conditions, a snafu such as this would be a minor story. But in the case of Palin, it is merely the latest example of a sloppy mistake.

Why is it that with Palin, something always seems to go wrong???
