Palin Helps Draw Large Crowds in Missouri

Yesterday, McCain held a rally in Missouri.  According to one Missiouri operative involved in orchestrating tickent distribution, 7,000 tickets flew out the doors within six hours of Palin's announcement as McCain's running mate.  More than 25,000 people attended the rally.

Clearly, Palin's addition to the ticket has dramatically increased the grassroots intensity.  We've already seen that McCain raised $7 million dollars almost immediately after picking her.  Now, we see that she is turning out crowds, too.  Don't be surprised to see people start putting bumper stickers on their cars and yard signs in their yard.

While Obama still is the king of crowds, the gap between the two campaigns -- be it fundraising or crowd attendance -- is narrowing.
