TIME's Jay Carney is "Reporting a Rumor"
Hot Air has the video of TIME's Jay Carney blaming conservative bloggers for the Michelle Obama "whitey" rumor.   Of course, it was a liberal blogger who has been a frequent Huffington Post writer, who started the rumor.

By the way, by bringing up this rumor on national TV, isn't Jay advancing the rumor?

Update:  RedState notes that TIME magazine actually reported that the rumor was started by a "pro-Hillary Clinton blogger..."

Update:  AmSpecBlog reminds me that Reason Magazine -- hardly a bastion of liberalism -- was also instrumental in tamping down this rumor.
