DNC Says McCain Advertised on "Hate Site" -- but so did Obama ...

Yesterday, the DNC attacked John McCain for running banner ads on a “hate site”— the popular Northern Virginia blog Black Velvet Bruce Li.

In truth, the
site focuses almost exclusively on the issue of illegal immigration, and the rhetoric often gets heated.  The site's slogan is:  "Driving liberals, dhimmis and illegal alien apologists absolutely insane since 2005..."

But it turns out that, according to the blogger who runs the site, Barack Obama and Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Mark Warner have both also run ads on the blog.

The ads were apparently Google ads, meaning the advertiser ad no direct control over which sites ran the ads.  This, of course, is an example of shoddy DNC staff-work, as well as blatant hypocrisy.

"In view of the fact that the DNC attacked John McCain for running ads on a blog at which we now know Barack Obama and Democratic US Senate candidate Mark Warner have also advertised, the DNC should either apologize for, and withdraw, its ham-handed attack on John McCain or similarly condemn both Obama and Warner,"-- said RNC spokeswoman Liz Mair.

The DNC is now being criticized by liberal bloggers (who seem shocked that the party home to “internet pioneers” don’t understand Google Ads).
