Gen. Petraeus Holds Republicans-Only Briefing Only By Virtue of the Fact that Dems Didn't Show Up

Lefty blogs are up in arms about Andrea Mitchell's accusation, on the Chris Matthews Show, that Petraeus recently held a Republicans-only meeting to discuss Iraq policy.

Well, Matthews should have asked her to specify when exactly this caucus meeting took place, and how she knew about it.

The RedState guys think she's referring to this recent briefing, to which Democrats were invited, but did not bother to attend.
