Yeah, tell me about it. I'm tired just looking at the list, the competition is so good.

I'm also up for Video of the Year:

David Zucker Albright Ad
Free Hugs
VenetianPrincess's Mission: XBOX video
Asian BSB
Daily Dancer
Internet is for Porn
Hips Dont Lie fan version
Mary Katharine Ham: Get out the vote
Diet Coke and Mentos
Brokeback to the Future

If things go as they should, I'll have my butt roundly kicked in both categories, but it truly is an honor to have it kicked by the likes of LGF and the Diet Coke and Mentos video. Voting starts Thursday.

The Townhall Blogatorium is also a finalist for Best Community. Congrats, guys!

This is the video to which they refer, by the way.

Thanks to everyone involved in the Weblog Awards. There are a bunch of people behind the scenes of this effort, many of whom I'm sure will never get mentioned or ask for credit, but they're doing a big job to give the rest of the big ol' blogosphere something to cheer about.  Kevin Aylward of Wizbang!, I know, has done much of the work in the past, and he and his team of judges/moderators/helpers are to be commended. The blogosphere being an inherently complainy place, I'm sure they get more gripes than props, so I just wanted to thank them for their hard work.

There are 45 categories covering all kinds of blogs. As soon as voting begins, run over and click through. Find blogs you've never seen before on subjects you didn't even know had blogs. Good times. 'Cause who doesn't want more blogs? They're like cowbell. One never can have enough.
