This week, Guy covered how a slew of polls spell bad news for President Joe Biden in the 2024 election. CNN showed Biden (45 percent) behind Trump (49 percent) in a 2024 rematch. Against Nikki Haley, Haley prevails with 52 percent support to Biden’s 39 percent support.
In this data set, 64 percent of respondents said that Biden does not “deserve to be reelected.”
Another poll released Friday showed a similar sentiment among voters.
A Gallup survey of registered voters found that 61 percent said Biden doesn’t deserve reelection. On the other hand, 38 percent said they think he deserves to be reelected.
Fewer U.S. voters say Biden deserves to be reelected than said this about prior presidents early in their reelection campaigns.

Regarding members of Congress, only 24 percent of respondents said that most members of Congress deserve to be reelected, compared with 67 percent who said they do not. Fifty-five percent of respondents said that their representative in their congressional district deserves reelection, compared to 34 percent who disagreed.

“Voters are not enthusiastic about returning most elected federal officials to office. Biden trails other incumbents at similar points in their presidencies, and voters are less likely than in other recent election years to say members of Congress deserve reelection,” Gallup noted.
A Gallup survey published late last month found that Biden’s third-year job approval average of 39.8 percent is the second-worst to former President Jimmy Carter.
“Since September 2021, after the troubled withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan, Biden’s approval rating has ranged from the high 30s to low 40s. Before that, during the first six months of his presidency, he enjoyed majority-level approval ratings,” the write-up noted.
