Former Vice President Joe Biden asked the crowd at the New Hampshire debate on Friday to clap for Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman to show how much Democrats support him.
"Col. Vindman got thrown out of the White House today, walked out," Biden said. "[President Trump] should have be pinning a medal on Vindman and not on Rush Limbaugh. I think we should all stand and give Col. Vindman a show of how much we supported him. Stand up and clap for Vindman. Get up there...that's who we are!"

Vindman was reassigned on Friday as part of a restructuring of the National Security Council.
“Today, Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman was escorted out of the White House where he has dutifully served his country and his President. He does so having spoken publicly once, and only pursuant to a subpoena from the United States Congress," Vindman's attorney said in a statement.
During his testimony in the House impeachment inquiry, Vindman admitted to leaking information during questioning from Republican Rep. Devin Nunes.

The same Vindman who:
—Leaked information to the “whistleblower”
—Was offered three jobs from the Ukrainian government
—Put US national security at risk
Trump fired him

Other Twitter users criticized Biden for attacking Limbaugh.
Biden just lobbed an attack at Rush Limbaugh... A man who just announced he has advanced stage cancer this week. Pretty classless. #DemDebate

The standing ovation for Vindman was nauseating. Nice stunt, it won’t save your failing campaign Joe. #DemDebate
