Two More Suspicious Packages Discovered

More suspicious packages have been discovered that are similar to those found earlier this week intended for Democratic politicians, CNN, and Robert De Niro.

One was found in Florida and was addressed to Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), making it the 11th package containing a pipe bomb this week.

There are also reports that police are investigating a 12th suspicious package at a New York City post office that was addressed to former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.

Some of the other suspicious packages discovered this week were intended for former President Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, former Attorney General Eric Holder, George Soros, Rep. Maxine Waters, former Vice President Joe Biden and Robert De Niro.

Update:

Speaking with CNN on the phone, Clapper said he wished to reiterate something former CIA Director John Brennan said: “This is not going to silence the administration’s critics.”

He said the bomb threats are serious, and “definitely domestic terrorism,” but acknowledged that there haven’t been any injuries or deaths from the bombs.

It’s not yet clear if they are functional or not or whether they were solely intended to sow fear and intimidation, he said.
