Hannity's Ultimatum to Moore

Hannity's Ultimatum to Moore

Tired of the inconsistencies in Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore’s explanations regarding the allegations of sexual misconduct against him, Fox News host Sean Hannity issued him an ultimatum: explain everything truthfully or drop out of the race.

“Before we close tonight I want to address the new very serious misconduct allegations against Judge Roy Moore. If you watch this program regularly you know I will not rush to judgment, we have seen in the media and politicians get it wrong so many times, I’ve outlined all of that,” Hannity said.

“In light of new information about Judge Roy Moore, we have to address this issue tonight. We should be troubled by two things: When the Washington Post story first broke I said that the allegations should be taken seriously, but they should be fully investigated. It’s a 14-year-old girl. We need to discover the truth,” he continued.

“I also said, I can understand why women wait years to come forward … I can understand it, people have a difficult time talking about it years later.”

The host then explained the inconsistencies in Moore’s explanations, and said that after the fifth accuser came forward—a woman who said Moore sexually assaulted her when she was 16 and he was in his 30s—enough is enough.

Hannity played footage of Moore saying the accusation was “absolutely false” and that he didn’t even know the woman. But the woman also came forward with a yearbook that had a note written to her to corroborate her story.

"For me, the judge has 24 hours. You must immediately and fully come up with a satisfactory explanation for your inconsistencies that I just showed," Hannity said.

"The American people deserve 100 percent truth and honesty."
