Trump Slams Dems Over Rigging Primary, Funding Dossier

President Trump on Thursday sat down with Fox News’s Laura Ingraham and discussed a wide range of topics including recent revelations about who funded the Russian dossier, the DNC rigging the presidential primary, the New York City terror attack, and more.

“It's illegal, number one, and it's really unfair to Bernie Sanders,” he told Ingraham about former DNC chair Donna Brazile’s claim in her forthcoming book that the party rigged the primary against Sen. Bernie Sanders from the start. “I’m not a Bernie Sanders fan, although I must say I got a lot of his votes when he was thrown out. Many of those people voted for me because of trade because I agreed with him on trade. … But that was, I thought that was terrible.”

He noted on Twitter ahead of his interview that the DNC’s rigged system “is real collusion.”

“Donna Brazile just stated the DNC RIGGED the system to illegally steal the Primary from Bernie Sanders. Bought and paid for by Crooked H,” he wrote. “This is real collusion and dishonesty. Major violation of Campaign Finance Laws and Money Laundering - where is our Justice Department?”

He also called the revelation that the DNC and Hillary Clinton’s campaign funded the Russian dossier a “disgrace.”

“That dossier, which is totally fake and made up it’s like a novel … is a disgrace and it should not have been allowed to be used and then I hear the kind of money they spent,” Trump said. “I think it’s a disgrace that a thing like that can take place.”

According to reports, the Clinton campaign and DNC paid as much as $9 million for the dossier that was published in January.

As far as the terror attack in New York City this week, Trump railed against the Diversity Visa Program, which is how the terror suspect, a 29-year-old Uzbekistan national, was able to enter the country.

“The justice system has to go quicker and it has to be really stronger and fairer,” the president said.

“It’s very sad when you look at a lottery system and you have people coming into the country through the form of a lottery,” Trump said. “The countries aren’t putting their finest in there, they’re not putting their best and their greatest and their finest in there.”

Earlier Thursday Trump again called on Congress to end the program, saying “it's a disaster for our country."

Finally, discussing the day's major news, Trump weighed in on the GOP's tax plan, calling the cuts the "biggest ... in the history of our country.”

“We have reform and we have simplification," he added, noting that the plan is “really not for the rich, it’s for the middle class and it’s for jobs.”
