Sen. Jim Bunning (R-Ky.) placed a hold on a bill approving unemployment benefits extensions when it had previously been unanimously agreed to. Bunning wants the extension to be paid for with already-approved stimulus funds.

Democrats in the Senate have blown their stacks and have vowed to keep the Senate in session, forcing Bunning's hand by calling for unanimous consent every thirty minutes, until Bunning relents or collapses.
