As it becomes crystal clear the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) lied about Wuhan coronavirus back in December 2019, leading to the spread of the deadly disease throughout the world, lawmakers in Washington D.C. are taking notes.

During an interview with Fox and Friends earlier this week Republican Senator Tom Cotton, who called for a travel ban to and from China at the beginning of 2020, said a "reckoning" is coming when the United States gets to the other side of the pandemic.

"China unleashed this plague on the world and there will be a reckoning when we're on the backside of it," Cotton said.

Cotton also stressed the need to bring the U.S. medical supply and manufacturing chain of essential drugs back from the communist country.

Republican Senator Josh Hawley and Congresswoman Elise Stefanik introduced a resolution this week calling on Congress to investigate the Chinese Communist Party for their actions.

On Thursday night, President Trump had a phone call with CCP Chairman Xi Jinping. The focus of the call was Wuhan coronavirus.
