Lois Lerner is Worried About How Angry People Will Be When They Really Find Out What She Did

Lois Lerner, the woman who retired early with a fully taxpayer funded pension after she admitted using the IRS to improperly target tea party groups because they were conservative, is concerned about what might happen when Americans find out the extent of her behavior.

Naturally Lerner, who plead the Fifth when asked to testify in front of Congress about her role at the IRS, wants federal court testimony sealed forever. Her attorneys argue the exposure of what she admitted in that testimony would prompt death threats.

This is the same woman who expressed interest in working with the Department of Justice to criminally prosecute at least one person they were targeting in order to send a message to the rest. As a reminder from 2014:

A little public scrutiny is minor compared to the legal consequences Lerner should have faced for her actions. For the sake of government accountability, her testimony should be unsealed as soon as possible.
