White House: Obama Warned Trump He Wasn't a Fan of Michael Flynn, But Didn't Pull His Security Clearance

According to a report from NBC News Monday morning, President Obama warned incoming President Donald Trump about General Michael Flynn. What he specifically warned about is still unclear.

Flynn was fired by Obama in 2014 after being nominated to by the President to head the Defense Intelligence Agency in 2012. Despite being pushed out, Flynn maintained his security clearance and President Obama did not issue a request for it to be suspended.

This is how the current White House is responding:

In late 2016, Flynn was hired as President-elect Trump's National Security Advisor. He was fired just three weeks into the job for lying to Vice President Mike Pence about communications with the Russian Ambassador, along with a "series of other questionable instances." The White House has not clarified what those questionable instances entail.

Monday afternoon former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates, who was fired by President Trump for refusing to uphold his executive order on banned travel, will testify in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee. She is expected to reveal that she also warned the Trump administration about Flynn's inconsistent story on his communications with Russian officials.
