The American Civil Liberties Union, which used the courts to put a halt on President Trump's first executive order barring specific refugees entrance to the United States, is organizing a "resist" training for illegal immigrants and citizens next week.
"The American Civil Liberties Union will host “The Resistance Training: An ACLU Town Hall” tomorrow to organize and empower communities around the country in defense of their constitutional rights. The event, which will be held at the University of Miami’s Watsco Center, will feature PeoplePower.org, the ACLU’s new grassroots mobilization platform launched to help organize mass resistance to President Trump’s unconstitutional policies," an email sent by the ACLU stated Friday.
"PeoplePower.org will use digital tools to communicate with and help train volunteers to resist unlawful policies across the country. People Power seeks to amplify organic, bottom-up, grassroots actions as a one-stop hub for anyone looking to influence the national debate," the email continued. "The town hall will address issues such as deportation raids, the Muslim ban, Planned Parenthood defunding, and other civil rights priorities. The ACLU will have experts covering what citizens need to know to protect their rights."

The event will take place close to President Trump's weekend get away, Mar-a-Lago resort.
And from the event website:
On March 11, the ACLU will host “The Resistance Training: An ACLU Town Hall” in Miami, Florida, the main event to launch its grassroots organizing platform, People Power. There will be volunteer-led Action Events taking place in all 50 states on the same day to watch the livestream of the Resistance Training and put local action plans in place.
The ACLU also plans to fight Trump's second travel ban, which was issued last week, with lawsuits.
