Maria Bartiromo Pummels Obamacare Architect Who Called Americans Stupid

As talk of an Obamacare repeal heats up in Washington, with a Republican majority leading the way, the architects of Obamacare are making their way onto the airwaves to defend the legislation.

Tuesday morning, Obamacare architect and professor Jonathan Gruber, infamous for calling Americans stupid, made an appearance on Fox Business. Anchor Maria Bartiromo asked the questions during her show Mornings With Maria. Based on the exchange, Gruber is likely regretting his decision to make an appearance.

During the segment, Gruber argued Obamacare has nothing to do with economic growth, has lowered the price of healthcare and has had an overall positive impact on the economy. He also berated Bartiromo for "ignoring the data" about premium increases, which prompted her to point out real time reaction to Obamacare's cost by CEOs and small business owners who regularly come on her show.

The entire exchange is worth a watch:

Gruber also published an op-ed in the New York Times today warning President-elect Trump against repeal of the law.
