All Eyes On Hillary Clinton As She Testifies Before Benghazi Select Committee

Today is the day. After months, even years of anticipation, former Secretary of State and current Democrat presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton will testify under oath in front of the Benghazi Select Committee.

Clinton will not only testify about what happened on the night of September 11, 2012, but will be asked a series of questions about her use of a private email server during her time as Secretary of State. Since the Select Committee discovered her private server earlier this year, we've learned Clinton had at least 400 documents considered classified, with at least four deemed top secret, on her server. During a press conference at the UN earlier in March, Clinton denied having any classified information on her server, sent or received. She is under FBI criminal investigation as a result.

In addition long time ally Sidney Blumenthal, who provided faulty intelligence to Clinton during her time at the State Department despite President Obama barring him from working in his administration, will reportedly be a heavy topic of discussion.

Breitbart News has learned that Blumenthal will factor heavily in the Committee’s questions for Clinton, who utilized the political adviser as her top source of Libya information despite the fact that Blumenthal did not seem to know much about the country.

Clinton, who pushed Blumenthal’s personal business interests in Libya, relied on intelligence that Blumenthal was getting from former CIA spy Tyler Drumheller. According to email releases, Blumenthal and Drumheller seemed to have been the main source of information, even as Clinton was actively intervening in the nation of Libya.

Over the past few weeks, the Select Committee has come under heavy fire from Democrats after Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy suggested during an interview on Hannity that the Committee was created to bring down Clinton's presidential poll numbers. Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy and Ranking Member Elijah Cummings have been battling for weeks over the disclosure of information and both sides have expressed allegations of politicizing the issue.

This week, Clinton's team has been on offense before her testimony, making repeated efforts to discredit the Committee's credibility.

Hillary Clinton and her supporters are blistering the Benghazi committee ahead of her much-anticipated testimony Thursday, repeatedly questioning the GOP-led investigative panel’s “credibility” as the former secretary of state gears up for a potentially confrontational appearance.

On Wednesday, a super PAC supporting Clinton’s Democratic presidential campaign, Priorities USA, will begin running TV ads aimed at bolstering her image ahead of her appearance before the House Select Committee on Benghazi.

Late last week, Clinton's top aide and long time confidant Huma Abedin appeared before the Committee in a closed door session.

The hearing starts at 10 a.m. et.
