NBC's Chuck Todd Wonders If The IRS "Actually" Has Real Victims

As if Democrats on Capitol Hill repeatedly apologizing to IRS Commissioner John Koskinen wasn't enough, we can now add NBC's Chuck Todd to the list of liberal IRS sympathizers.

Yesterday during MSNBC's The Daily Rundown, Todd wondered if the IRS story actually has any victims.

Are there any actual real victims? Folks, this scandal is not black and white since frankly two wrongs don't make a right. We know what really is working here for Republicans. Beating up the IRS, good for the base. Good politics there makes for great fundraising e-mails. But let's remember what the controversy itself is about.

Let's remember what the controversy itself is about? Let's do that. This "controversy" is all about the IRS abusing its power to target conservative groups opposing President Obama's agenda. This "controversy" is about the most powerful government agency in the United States of America violating the First Amendment rights of everyday Americans wanting to get involved in the process. Further, polling shows a vast majority of Democrats, Republicans and Independents want Congress to investigate the IRS until someone is held accountable. This isn't about "Republicans beating up on the IRS."

Some 74 percent of voters now say lawmakers should investigate the IRS “until someone is held accountable,” up from 67 percent who felt that way in April. That includes 66 percent of Democrats.

And as for those "actual" victims, how about Becky Gerritson? Or Catherine Engelbrecht?

To answer Chuck Todd's question about whether there any actual victims? Yes, hundreds of them.
