Planned Parenthood Coats Airwaves in Anti-Romney Ads

HEMPSTEAD, NY - Planned Parenthood, a pro-abortion organization receiving $500 million in taxpayer funds each year, is blasting the airwaves with anti-Romney ads in swing states ahead of tonight's debate in New York.

Planned Parenthood Votes announced Tuesday that it has launched a $578,000 radio ad buy against Romney in Ohio and Virginia.

The group also spent another $250,000 on its television ad buy in Colorado, bringing its total investment in that state to more than $1 million.

The latest ads hit Romney for opposing Roe v. Wade and federal funding for Planned Parenthood.

"Mitt Romney will put critical healthcare for women and families at risk and will let politicians interfere in your most private, personal medical decisions," the new radio ad states in voiceover. "President Obama trusts women and knows the health care challenges families face."

Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards is in Hempstead for tonight's debate and will be in the media spin room afterward to discuss President Obama's performance and to attack Mitt Romney.
