David Axelrod: Paul Ryan is Only Good For Right Wingers and If You Aren't a Woman

It's already starting. Late yesterday afternoon, Obama campaign head David Axelrod sent out an email to supporters warning them of the dangerous Mitt Romney vice presidential pick known as Paul Ryan. In true liberal form, Axelrod told certain groups of people Ryan isn't good for them, because after all, liberals don't think women or minorities can think for themselves. From the email:

If their records are any indication of how they'd govern, it's not looking good (unless you're a right-wing conservative in the top 5 percent of income-earners and NOT a woman or a worker counting on Medicare in your future).

First off, I'm a woman and I'm thrilled Paul Ryan is Mitt Romney's VP candidate. Second, in Axelrod terms I would be considered a "right-wing conservative," but I'm not in the top 5 percent (reality check: not all conservatives are "rich" people). Third, I'm a worker who doesn't want to pay for other people's birth control. Fourth, I'm not counting on Medicare in my future because the program is scheduled to go bankrupt before I'm even eligible. The same goes for Social Security.

One thing is certain, the 2012 election presents voters with two very clear, very different paths. The Obama path includes bigger government, more entitlement, more crushing debt and more broken promises that were never going to be fulfilled in the first place. The Romney path, with Paul Ryan by his side, includes shrinking deficits, paying off debt, saving Medicare, reforming entitlements and a brighter future for all Americans (including women).

It seems as if I'm not the only one annoyed:

MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell also chimed in:

"This is not a pick for suburban moms, this is not a pick for women."

Apparently both Axelrod and Mitchell both forgot both Romney and Ryan are married to women and have a lot of children. I think they understand just a tad bit about how women operate and what's important to them.
