Dear Iowa: You're Too White and Evangelical

MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell doesn't believe Iowa is a good representation of the rest of the country because it is "too white, too evangelical, too rural."

According the CIA Fact Book, 79.96 percent of the United States' population is white, so I'm not really sure what Mitchell's point was here, other than to try and discredit Iowa primary voters.

Ethnic groups: white 79.96%, black 12.85%, Asian 4.43%, Amerindian and Alaska native 0.97%, native Hawaiian and other Pacific islander 0.18%, two or more races 1.61% (July 2007 estimate)

The question for Mitchell becomes, what is a "good representation," of the rest of the country? Ideologically it sure isn't New York City or Washington D.C.

MSNBC can't shill for Obama based on his record, so they're attacking middle America instead. Classy.
