Garafalo: Racists Supporting Herman Cain

According to Janeane Garafalo, if you support Herman Cain, you are a racist, but if you don't support Barack Obama, you're a racist. During an interview with Keith Olbermann (as Erika said to me earlier, "Are Janeane Garafalo and Michael Moore the only guests Olbermann can get on his show?") Garafalo made the argument that "racist" republicans are supporting Herman Cain....because they are racist.

"Herman Cain is probably well liked by some of the republicans because it hides the racist elements of the republican party, the conservative movement and tea party movement, one in the same. People like Karl Rove liked to keep the racism very covert. And so Herman Cain provides this great opportunity say you can say 'Look, this is not a racist, anti-immigrant, anti-female, anti-gay movement. Look we have a black man.'"

Back when Olbermann was still working for MSNBC, Garafalo made the argument that the tea party was formed because a "black man" is in the White House:

"Let's be very honest about what this is about. This is not about bashing Democrats. It's not about taxes. They have no idea what the Boston Tea party was about. They don't know their history at all. It's about hating a black man in the White House."

"This is racism straight up and is nothing but a bunch of teabagging rednecks. There is no way around that."
