While UK Accepts Thousands of Muslim Immigrants, Parliament Debates Donald Trump

British Parliament is set to debate whether or not to ban Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump after a petition, which calls for Trump to be barred because of his "hate speech" after his calls for a travel ban on Muslims entering the United States, has received almost 600,000 signatures.

Parliament's Petitions Committee is forced to consider any petition that receives more than 100,000 signatures which will then be brought up for debate.

This comes just months after Prime Minister David Cameron stood before British Parliament and asked members to accept more than 20,000 Syrian refugees over the coming years.

"We are proposing that Britain should resettle up to 20,000 Syrian refugees over the rest of this parliament.  In doing so, we'll continue to show the world that this country is a country of extraordinary compassion," Cameron said.
