Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) had to calm down Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) when she was being a bit too jovial during their press conference about President Trump's impeachment trial on Friday.
Harris was seen joking around with Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) when Schumer turned around and motioned for her to cut it out. Harris was taken aback at Schumer's reaction.
Democratic leadership has had issues with preventing their members from clowning around or acting in a celebratory manner since they maintain they do not want to impeach Trump and are being forced to do so because of his actions. They often say the impeachment process has been heavy and "somber" for the nation.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) gestured for Democrats to cut out the cheers they made after the two articles of impeachment were passed by the Democratic majority.
