Sen. Tom Harkin Goes There

Sen. Tom Harkin (D-IA) during the health care summit:
We don't allow segregation in our country on the basis of race, creed, color, national origin, ect. Twenty years ago this year we also said we're not going to allow segregation on disability.

We aren't going to allow segregation today on the basis of health. Why should we allow that to happen? Its time to stop segregating people on the basis of their health?

...Whenever I hear the word "this pool, that pool" I hear segregation.
