Very Respectable, Reid, Very Respectable

Here's the Majority Leader on health care:
We’re going to wait until the new senator arrives until we do anything more on health care.
Wow. Early predictions that that Democrats would delay the certification of the new Senator were put to rest in one swoop. Reid took the high road -- undoubtedly because he knew that if he did it any other way, the Democrats were sunk. As I said earlier, messing with policy is one thing, but ignoring the voice of the people is another. Reid knew what was best for him, and fortunately, that coincides with what is best for the country: a normal, quick installation of an elected official.

Even if separate Massachusetts officials decide to delay certification, it doesn't matter: Reid isn't doing anything until Brown is there.
