Texas Terrorist Attack Thwarted By FBI

Photobucket

A 19-year-old Jordanian man attempted to blow up Fountain Place in Dallas, a 60-story combination retail and residential space that anchored the downtown area. Hosam Maher Husein had repeatedly pledged his allegiance to Osama Bin Ladin and communicated his direct intent to kill Americans to undercover FBI agents, who arrested him as he allegedly placed an inactive car bomb in front of the building. A snipped from his communication with the undercover FBI agents before the arrest:
In the name of God, the Gracious and the Merciful, this is my vow to you, my brother, that I am ready...And if you were a lover of Jihad as I am, then, by God, I am ready for the Jihadi life.
The undercover agents had even offered Husein alternatives for him to express his beliefs, trying to convince him that violence was not necessary. But Husein insisted on his preferred method of resistance. He also mentioned wanting to attack the Dallas Airport, a financial institution, and a National Guard Armory.
