Health care legislation, card check, and stimulus bills are all worth fussing about, but cap and trade is in a league of its own. The bill will affect everything from the price of basic goods, to health care and international trade. It's estimated that it will cost the average American household $3,000 per year.

Cap-and-trade is currently being marked up in the House Energy and Commerce Committee, and is expected to sail through both the Committee vote and the full House vote.

Congressmen John Shadegg, (R-AZ) took some time to speak with Townhall about the markup process.
