Kellyanne Conway Reluctant To Accept a Role In Trump White House

Most had assumed Kellyanne Conway, the woman who made history after becoming the first female to lead a successful presidential campaign, would be the first to accept a role in the upcoming Trump administration.

That may not be the case, unfortunately.

Speaking at POLITICO’s “Women Rule” event, former Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway was reluctant to say whether she would take a job in the Trump White House. She cited the constraints of being a mother of four children – three girls and one boy.

Conway fans should not fret, however. White House job or not, Conway has suggested she still wants to play some sort of role for the Trump team – perhaps in an “outside” fashion such an as advisor or media surrogate. This option is certainly not new. David Plouffe and David Axelrod both served in advisory roles outside the White House for president Obama while he’s been in office.

Conway referred to such a gig as the “Kellyanne role.”

Besides supporters on the Republican side, Conway received a push to join the White House from an unexpected source. Valerie Jarrett, White House senior advisor to president Obama, also spoke at the POLITICO event and publicly urged Conway to at least try working at the White House – saying that juggling time between work and parenting is possible.
