His latest project (after going after guns in Arizona) is to ban cigarettes in public parks and beaches.
The ban on smorking in parks is the latest proposal from Mayor Bloomberg to curtail New Yorkers' bad habits (or, some say, create a nanny state).

Since when is it the job of the mayor to 'curtail' vices? If that is justification for putting a law on the books, then what can't he do?
