“What we saw shocked us,” she said. “There was no one checking IDs, judges would vote for people that asked for help. It was fraud, and we watched like deer in the headlights.”

They created a grassroots watchdog group called True the Vote, and began to investigate vote fraud in general. Here's some of what they found: voters registered on vacant lots, registered non-citizens, a halfway house with eight beds and over forty registered voters. Most of the findings trace back to a group called Houston Votes, headed by Sean Caddle.

True the Vote teamed up with the Harris County voter registrar and the investigation has since been handed over to the Harris County DA. "The integrity of the voting rolls in Harris County, Texas, appears to be under an organized and systematic attack by the group operating under the name Houston Votes," said Leo Vasquez, the voter registrar.
