Surprise: Hamas Supporters in NYC Now Chanting in Support of Another Anti-American Terrorist Group

Julio Rosas/Townhall

The Houthis are a terrorist organization based in Yemen, funded and supported by the fanatical Iranian regime.  Whenever the Biden or Obama administrations have sent money to the regime, as part of an obsessive quest to secure fatally flawed nuclear deals, elements of Tehran's finances have been freed up to engage in illicit, deadly actives such as financing regional terror.  Indeed, Iran is notorious for being the world's top state sponsor of terrorism.  One major beneficiary of this blood money has been the Houthis.  These terrorists have been attacking foreign vessels in international waters, recently drawing a serious military response from the United States and other allies:

A clash between Iranian-backed Houthi fighters who were attacking a commercial freighter and U.S. Navy helicopters responding to the ship’s distress call ended on Sunday morning with the killing of all the crew members on three Houthi boats, the Pentagon said, a sharp escalation of violence at a moment when the White House is considering direct strikes on Iran’s proxies in the Middle East. It appeared to be the first time that American and allied forces patrolling the Red Sea, a critical waterway for oil and other shipments, have engaged in a deadly firefight with the Houthis since their attacks on ships began in October...The Houthis had launched an attack on the freighter, the Maersk Hangzhou, a Singapore-flagged container ship, and were attempting to board it. As the ship’s security forces tried to hold the attackers at bay, helicopters from the U.S.S. Eisenhower carrier group arrived to chase them away and the Houthis opened fire on them.

The New York Times offers additional details here.  Iran's proxies have been attacking Americans in the region for months.  The US and UK have warned Iran to stop supporting the Houthis, vowing to defend ships that are attacked.  The Iranians have responded with a middle finger, cheering on the terrorism and escalating the tensions:

Iran has rejected US and British calls to end its support for attacks by Houthi rebels on Israeli-linked vessels in the Red Sea and claimed the accusations were baseless interference as its navy dispatched a destroyer to the vital shipping lane. The Alborz destroyer, operating as a military vessel of the 94th flotilla of the Iranian navy, crossed the Bab-el-Mandeb strait and entered the Red Sea on Monday. It came as Ali Akbar Ahmadian, the secretary of Iran’s supreme national security council (SNSC), met Mohammed Abdulsalam, the Houthi spokesperson, praising the rebel fighters’ “brave actions” against “Zionist aggression”... The UK and the US, possibly alongside another European country, are considering issuing a formal warning to the Houthis that they will strike military installations in Yemen along the Red Sea coast if the rebel fighters do not desist from their attacks on Israeli-linked commercial shipping.

Guess who's siding with Iran and the Houthis?  Dirtbag pro-terrorism, anti-Semitic, anti-American Hamas supporters, of course:

This is extremely on-brand for these dirtbags, some of whom spent the holiday season doing things like block traffic, disrupting Christmas shopping, and -- um -- 'protesting' at the site of the worst terrorist atrocity in US history.  They weren't protesting the terrorists, of course.  They're really not even trying to be subtle:

Same sort of crowd:

This is a Muslim group that sprouted up out of nowhere after the October 7th massacre.  Their opposition is not to the actual attempted genocide by Hamas, naturally, but to the "genocide" of Israel's response.  These doctors were evidently inspired by the horrors of October 7th.  I'm sure CAIR -- the leading ostensible Muslim 'civil rights' group in the country -- would object to any implication that large numbers of American Muslims are pro-terrorism, since fighting so-called 'Islamophobia' seems to be why they exist (let's set aside their status as an indicted co-conspirator in a major terrorism financing criminal case).  Let's check in with that organization's leader, shall we?

It was so egregious that even the Biden White House, which has partnered with CAIR on various initiatives (including, astonishingly, combatting anti-Semitism) felt compelled to denounce the group.  Much of the media did its best to ignore the story, however.  How long until they once again start uncritically publishing lecturing quotes from CAIR about alleged bigotry, or whatever?  They're literally led by a terrorism apologist.  Are we allowed to be 'phobic' against that?  I'll leave you with an extremely disturbing account by the New York Times detailing the expansive and systematic sexual violence Hamas inflicted on Israeli women during their bloody massacre.  This mass rape was simply denied by Hamas fans, including some journalists.  Many of them have responded to yet more evidence with damning silence (content warning):

A two-month investigation by The Times uncovered painful new details, establishing that the attacks against women were not isolated events but part of a broader pattern of gender-based violence on Oct. 7. Relying on video footage, photographs, GPS data from mobile phones and interviews with more than 150 people, including witnesses, medical personnel, soldiers and rape counselors, The Times identified at least seven locations where Israeli women and girls appear to have been sexually assaulted or mutilated...Four witnesses described in graphic detail seeing women raped and killed at two different places along Route 232, the same highway where Ms. Abdush’s half-naked body was found sprawled on the road at a third location.

The Times interviewed several soldiers and volunteer medics who together described finding more than 30 bodies of women and girls in and around the rave site and in two kibbutzim in a similar state as Ms. Abdush’s — legs spread, clothes torn off, signs of abuse in their genital areas. Many of the accounts are difficult to bear, and the visual evidence is disturbing to see. The Times viewed photographs of one woman’s corpse that emergency responders discovered in the rubble of a besieged kibbutz with dozens of nails driven into her thighs and groin. The Times also viewed a video, provided by the Israeli military, showing two dead Israeli soldiers at a base near Gaza who appeared to have been shot directly in their vaginas.

I'll leave you with a thought about "rape culture:"

Hamas uses rape as a weapon of terror. Hamas’ western, leftist cheerleaders use ‘rape culture’ as a weapon of politics. The rape denialists are the hostage poster destroyers are the pro-Houthi chanters are the 'River to the Sea' eliminationists.  An incoherent alliance of leftists and Islamists, bound only by a shared hatred of the West, these are utterly contemptible people who most be opposed at every turn.
