Modern GOP primaries are often reduced to rhetorical shoving matches over which candidate can most convincingly claim the mantle of Ronald Reagan. Although this footage is over 30 years old, and was recorded in advance of a totally separate political race, an explicit, on-camera, name-check endorsement from the Gipper is about as good as it gets. If Team Barbour had really wanted to make a splash at CPAC, they might have insisted that this video be used to introduce the Mississippi Governor's speech.
