Four Fun Polls...From 2008 Blue States

Massachusetts' 10th Congressional District:

The race between state Rep. Jeff Perry (R) and Norfolk County District Attorney William Keating (D) represents a majority maker race for Republicans -- one where, if they win, it could indicate the beginning of a Republican landslide on Election Night.

According to an internal Republican campaign poll conducted October 17 to 18 obtained by Hotline On Call, Perry is now leading 42 percent to 36 percent. As always, internal campaign polls should be taken with the appropriate context - but the fact that both parties are spending valuable resources here indicates it's a close race.

Oregon's 5th Congressional District:

US House of Representatives in Oregon's 5th Congressional District today, 10/20/10, Republican challenger Scott Bruun edges Democratic incumbent Kurt Schrader 51% to 41%, according to an exclusive KATU-TV poll conducted by SurveyUSA.

Maryland's 1st Congressional District:

With two weeks to go before Election Day, freshman Rep. Frank Kratovil (D-Md.) must overcome a double digit deficit if he wants to see a second term, according to a new Monmouth University poll released Thursday.

The Monmouth survey, which was in the field Oct. 16 to 19, showed Republican state Sen. Andy Harris ahead 53 percent to 42 percent with 5 percent undecided.

Florida's 22nd Congressional District:

Republican Allen West narrowly leads U.S. Rep. Ron Klein in a bruising battle for South Florida's 22nd Congressional District, a new Sunshine State News Poll shows.

West leads Klein 47-44 in the survey of likely voters conducted Oct. 17-19. Nine percent of respondents are undecided.
