Obama's Hand-Picked Debt Commission Co-Chair Rips Obama's Budget Cuts

President Obama's hand-picked Debt Commission Co-Chair, Erskine Bowles ripped the President's meager 1.6% budget cuts in his testimony on Capitol Hill before the Senate Budget Committee. Bowles told reporters afterwards that the president's cuts

"go nowhere near where they will have to go to resolve our fiscal nightmare."

The other Co-Chair, Sen. Alan Simpson testified that "Ponzi Scheme" entitlements would need to be reformed, including Social Security and Medicare. He had this to say to the Senators gathered in the Dirksen Office Building.

I love Simpson's candor. Will politicians have the guts to follow Bowles and Simpson's lead?

Will they have the courage to challenge AARP?
