Specter: Jack Kemp Would Be Alive Today If GOP Would've Pursued My Healthcare Views

Talk about demagoging Jack Kemp's death. Immediately this reminded me of Senator John Edwards's stem-cell statement during the 2004 campaign where he was exploiting Christopher Reeve's death that occurred two days earlier

: "If we do the work that we can do in this country, the work that we will do when John Kerry is president, people like Christopher Reeve are going to walk again. Get up out of that wheelchair and walk again."

Having watched this a few times, it appears Specter is not only giving himself credit for carrying the ark of the covenant that would have saved Kemp's life, but he has already saved "many lives," including his own. Wow! This guy does belong on Obama's squad.

Hosanna in the highest!
