Sommers: 'These Are Not Processes That Are Self-Correcting.' 'Excess of fear' must be broken.

Larry Sommers is one of my favorite liberals because of his intellectual honesty and courage to fight the left-wing of his party--if only until exhaustion. That said, I don't want to mischaracterize the essence of his 30-plus minute speech to the Brookings Institute this morning. So what was the essence? Take Obama's economic remarks and apply a strategy for recovery and expansion.
