So, this is how it's gonna' be, friends -- between now the November, we're going to be stuck on an endless merry-go-round of petty distractions manufactured by the White House (or is it the Obama Campaign? I'm starting to forget which is which) and glommed onto by the liberal media (really now, it's like watching lemmings run into the sea). The Buffet rules; the student loan debates that actually focus on just a fraction of federal loans; Obama's personal support for gay marriage; Romney may've been mean to another kid in high school; blah blah blah: it's all a part of the wildly desperate bid to misdirect our attention away the many drastic problems stemming from one glaring, inevitable fact:
What new and exciting distraction meme will Team Obama circulate next? Round and round and round we go; where we stop, nobody knows! Although, funnily enough, it seems that back in 2008, then-candidate Barack Obama was much to much of a serious adult to care for such trivial pursuits as distracting the electorate from the "real issues." Gee, I wonder, what could've happened in the interval to change his modus operandi? Indeed, "distraction" was one of his more frequently used words, especially when he was questioned on a topic he didn't like. IBD has a nice round-up, emphasis added:
