Santorum Takes on Meet the Press

Santorum Takes on Meet the Press

David Gregory questioned former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum--and now a 2012 primary candidate--on NBC's Meet the Press this morning about Santorum's stance on the deficit, playing a clip from a Santorum interview several years earlier on the program explaining that the U.S. would be dealing with deficits for awhile due to two wars and just coming out of a recession (this would have been under Bush).

Santorum explained his apparent contradiction by invoking scale, saying now we're talking about trillions and we're not dealing with a surplus.

Gregory also quesitoned Santorum on his stance on abortion, and Santorum said he supports criminalization of abortion for doctors.
