Why is everyone having such a hard time seeing that this is yet another example of bloated, ineffective government shuffling five steps behind everyone else? These machines are in response to an attempted attack that happened OVER A YEAR AGO. The terrorists have moved on, obviously (ink cartridges, anyone?). Why can't the TSA? The same government that brought you ObamaCare didn't magically grow more brain cells before bringing these machines out.
I am going to ask you to be completely honest: can you name me one instance in your experience at an airport where you've seen the TSA do something that made you feel safer? I haven't. On the other hand, I've seen stuff that's made me feel like they really don't know what they're doing. And now, I get a dose of radiation for my troubles.
Don't tell me that dose of radiation isn't a big deal health-wise. I work hard to be healthy. For the government to subject me to something unhealthy that is completely ineffective anyway (so body scanners are according to the Israelis, who actually know what they're talking about when it comes to security), it's disgraceful. Will someone please put health-conscious Michelle Obama on the TSA's tail?
Yet we have people like Peter Johnson Jr. going off on Ann Coulter for criticizing the system without taking the time to actually listen to her arguments. Go get 'em, Ann.
