Surprise Visit: NFL MVP Shows Up, Hangs Out With Kids of Fallen Heroes

Camp Hometown Heroes is an organization which was founded, among other reasons, to provide the children of military service members killed in action a positive and safe atmosphere for healing and development.

“Camp Hometown Heroes provides week-long summer camp sessions and other healing programs for children 7-17,” according to its website. “Through the generosity of thousands of donors these are offered completely free of charge.” The camp is located in Wisconsin.

Recently, however, four children participating in the program were suddenly caught off guard when Green Bay Packers quarterback and NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers showed up to lend his support to the cause as part of his ongoing and inspirational #itsAaron initiative. And while some of the children clearly did not recognize who he was, one of them did -- and his reaction was priceless.
